Account Deactivated: Steps to Reactivation

HOSTKO strives to provide a reliable and secure hosting environment for all our customers. However, there are instances where we may need to temporarily suspend accounts to protect the integrity of our network and the businesses of other customers.

Two Primary Reasons for Suspensions:

  1. Overdue Hosting Plan: If your hosting plan payment is past due, your website may be temporarily suspended. We typically send multiple email reminders before suspension, giving you ample time to renew your plan. You can easily reactivate your website by logging in and paying the overdue invoice.
  2. Security Concerns: If our security systems detect suspicious activity on your website, such as malware or unusual email traffic, we may need to suspend your account to protect our network’s and other customers’ integrity. This could be due to:
    • Compromised website content: Our real-time file scanning and periodic malware scans can identify potential threats.
    • Suspicious email activity: If your account sends out excessive spam or receives numerous complaints, it may be a sign of compromise.

Security Notices:

If your account is suspended due to security concerns, you will likely receive a detailed Security Notice outlining the issues detected.

Taking Action:

If your website is suspended, please review the reasons outlined above and take appropriate action:

  • Pay overdue invoices: If your account is suspended due to non-payment, log in to your account and settle the outstanding balance.
  • Review security measures: If your account was suspended due to security concerns, carefully review the Security Notice and take steps to address the identified issues.

By understanding the reasons for account suspensions and taking prompt action, you can help ensure your website’s continued uptime and security.
